Senior Planner 

£60,000 + company pension, health plan, sick pay

Not every planning role offers the opportunity to shape both decisions and programmes.

You'll work closely with commercial, operational and project teams throughout the project lifecycle, helping develop programmes that support successful delivery.

This role offers the opportunity to identify risks, challenge assumptions constructively, and provide planning insights that support informed project decisions.

The Role

• Develop tender, pre-construction and live project programmes

• Build and maintain detailed project programmes using Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 or similar tools

• Work closely with commercial, operational and delivery teams to establish realistic project timescales

• Coordinate information from multiple stakeholders to produce integrated project programmes

• Review and challenge client and subcontractor programmes

• Identify programme risks, constraints and opportunities

• Monitor project progress and provide regular programme reporting

• Assess the impact of delays, changes and alternative delivery strategies

• Support continual improvement of planning procedures and best practice

About You

You'll already have experience within planning, project controls or programme management and be comfortable working across multiple projects simultaneously.

You'll also bring

• Strong understanding of planning methodologies and critical path analysis

• Experience using Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 or similar planning software

• Ability to interpret technical information and project documentation

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• A practical, commercially aware approach to problem solving

• Ability to influence and challenge constructively
