An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join one of London's most respected commercial fit-out contractors. With a turnover exceeding £100 million and a strong pipeline of high-profile Cat A & Cat B office fit-out projects across Central London, this business continues to grow and strengthen its market-leading position.
They are now seeking an experienced Senior Pre-Construction Manager to play a key role in securing and delivering major projects whilst protecting commercial interests and ensuring exceptional client outcomes.
The Role As Senior Pre-Construction Manager, you will take ownership of the pre-construction process from initial enquiry through to project handover. Working closely with senior stakeholders, design teams, and commercial teams, you will be responsible for developing winning strategies, managing risk, and ensuring projects are positioned for successful delivery.
This role would suit an individual with a strong commercial background who understands how to balance client expectations, programme requirements, risk management, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pre-construction process on high-value commercial fit-out projects
- Manage and coordinate design development throughout the bid stage
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
- Develop tender and bid strategies to maximise success rates
- Oversee programme development and delivery planning
- Coordinate technical and design information with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure pricing strategies are competitive while protecting business margins
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
- Support project teams during the transition from pre-construction to delivery
- Proven experience in a Senior Pre-Construction Manager or similar role
- Strong commercial background within the fit-out or interiors sector
- Experience managing Cat A and Cat B commercial office fit-out projects
- Excellent understanding of design management, tendering, and risk mitigation
- Currently working for a fit-out contractor
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Based within a commutable distance of Central London
- Salary up to £120,000
