A leading environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Ecologist to join its growing ecology division in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ecology professional to take on a varied role within a successful consultancy delivering environmental advice across residential, commercial, infrastructure, energy and conservation projects. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, taking ownership of projects while helping to shape the continued growth of the ecology department.

The role:

• Lead ecological surveys, site inspections and habitat assessments
• Produce technical reports, impact assessments and mitigation strategies
• Manage projects from quotation through to successful completion
• Build strong relationships with clients, planners and external stakeholders
• Support, mentor and review the work of junior ecologists
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high technical standard

Requirements:

• Significant experience within ecological consultancy
• Proven ability to manage multiple ecological projects simultaneously
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills
• CIEEM membership, with chartered status or protected species licences desirable
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
• Full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cambridge office
• Willingness to travel for site work and client meetings as required
