Lead Innovation in Aerospace Product Development

We are seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to take ownership of high-profile aerospace/military projects, leading the development of next-generation hydraulic components for both commercial and military aircrafts based in Tewkesbury. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the design, development, and qualification of complex hydraulic components, driving innovation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead and oversee FMEAs and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring robust and effective engineering solutions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to drive tooling development and procurement, optimizing processes for efficiency and quality.
  • Develop, review, and refine assembly instructions, production worksheets, and qualification reports, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry regulations.
  • Conduct in-depth performance calculations and lead hydraulic testing, leveraging expertise in Mathcad Prime and other analytical tools.
  • Act as a key technical liaison across departments, ensuring seamless collaboration between design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in mechanical and hydraulic systems, with a strong grasp of electrical theory and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
  • Proven ability to perform high-level FMEAs, develop sophisticated risk mitigation strategies, and lead design reviews with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in authoring technical reports (e.g., Similarity & Analysis reports, Development Test reports) and creating detailed assembly instructions.
  • Expert-level competency in Microsoft Word, Mathcad Prime (including worksheet conversion from Mathcad 15 to Prime), and other engineering analysis tools.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, drive project alignment, and influence decision-making.
