Senior Product Engineer (AI)

London | Hybrid | £100,000 to £120,000 + Meaningful Equity

We're partnered with one of London's fastest-growing AI startups, who have recently secured $13 million in funding and are now scaling both their product and engineering teams.

They're building a platform that allows businesses to create sophisticated AI-powered workflows through natural conversation, removing much of the complexity involved in designing, building and deploying AI applications.

Already trusted by global organisations, they're entering an exciting new stage of growth and are looking for a Senior Product Engineer to help shape both the product and the engineering team.

This is a rare opportunity to work directly with the founders, influence technical direction and build AI-powered products that solve real customer problems.

The Role

You'll join a small, high-performing engineering team, working directly alongside the founders to build and evolve a product that's already being used by customers.

This is a genuinely hands-on engineering role. You'll spend your time designing, building and shipping product features across Python, TypeScript and modern AI technologies, whilst helping shape the technical direction of the platform as the company grows.

This isn't an environment with layers of management or narrowly defined responsibilities. Engineers are trusted to own problems from idea through to production, work closely with users and contribute to product decisions as much as technical ones.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, build and ship high-quality product features.
• Build AI-powered functionality that solves real customer problems.
• Improve the quality, performance and reliability of the platform's AI capabilities.
• Prototype new ideas, test them quickly and iterate based on user feedback.
• Work closely with the founders on product and technical decisions.
• Own features from concept through to production.
• Help shape the technical direction of the platform as the engineering team scales.

What They're Looking For

You'll probably have:

• Experience building and shipping software products within a fast-moving product company, startup or scale-up.
• Excellent commercial Python experience.
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills.
• Experience integrating modern LLMs into production software.
• A genuine product mindset and passion for building software that customers love.
• Experience owning features from idea through to production.
• Confidence working directly with founders, designers and product teams.
• The ability to thrive in ambiguity, move quickly and take ownership.
