Senior Production Operative in Risley, Warrington

Role: Senior Production Operative

Location: 7 Kingsland Grange, Woolston, Warrington, WA1 4SR 

Rate: Basic pay £14.01 with 20% shift allowance £16.81 per hour 

Shift Patterns: Alternate shifts: you must be able to work both shifts. 
Week 1 - 6am- 2pm, Mon to Friday 
Week 2 - 2pm- 10pm, Mon to Friday
After 31st Dec, you will transition to the standard day shift of 08:00–16:00 and will no longer receive a shift allowance.

Start: ASAP 

As a Senior Operator, you will lead by example on the production floor, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and to  the highest quality standards. You will act as a role model for the team, providing day-to-day guidance and support to colleagues while working closely with the Team Leader to achieve production targets and maintain operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, demonstrates professionalism, and has the confidence to make informed decisions while promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.

 Responsibilities:

• Working in line with Health and Safety guidance and processes at all times

• Managing the setting and running of machinery

• Assembly work on the production line 

• Achieving high quality standards on all work produced

• Monitor production activities, identify potential issues and take appropriate action to resolve or escalate them

• Adhering to customer demands in a timely manner

• Coach and mentor junior operatives 

• Completing any other duties relevant to the department as requested by the shift manager 

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience in a production environment (2+ years)

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Comfortable being on foot for long periods of time

• Able to conduct manual handling 

• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor or support colleagues.
