You’ll lead the delivery of our 6-week Bridge Programme, while helping to develop a strong culture of recovery and peer support across the service.

The Bridge Programme is based on the 12-step principles of Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous and incorporates Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) and the Seeking Safety approach.

Leading and facilitating the 6-week Bridge Programme, including intake, orientation, MET, Seeking Safety and Living Clean sessions.

Supporting service users with their Step assignments through individual sessions.

Completing programme suitability and risk assessments alongside Health & Wellbeing Practitioners.

Developing and reviewing Recovery Plans and completing post-programme reporting.

Supporting and guiding Peer Supporters and Health & Wellbeing Champions (HAWCs) within the programme.

Line managing the onsite Peer Coordinator, providing regular support and development.

Working closely with practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality programme delivery.

Maintaining accurate case notes, assessments, programme documentation and outcome data.

Supporting the development of a strong recovery culture within HMP The Mount.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who can combine strong programme delivery skills with a genuine passion for recovery and peer-led support.

You’ll have:

Experience delivering substance misuse interventions or treatment programmes.

Confidence facilitating group and one-to-one sessions.

A strong understanding of recovery and peer support.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.

Experience supporting, guiding or line managing colleagues.

A flexible and collaborative approach, with the ability to adapt to the needs of a prison environment.

A genuine commitment to supporting people to make positive and lasting changes.

If you’re motivated by making a real difference and are ready to take a lead role in delivering meaningful substance misuse interventions, we’d love to hear from you.

All prison-based roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and HMPPS security vetting. These checks can take up to 5 months to complete. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of both checks.

Please note if you have lived overseas within the last 5 years then checks may take longer.
