We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Controls Professional to support the successful delivery of complex engineering and infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing project team, managing project controls activities across the full project lifecycle while ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project controls activities on smaller projects or manage a work package within a larger programme.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, plans and reporting.
- Monitor project performance, identifying risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the delivery of project controls across the full project lifecycle.
- Produce accurate project reporting and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies, including predictive and agile approaches where required.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to achieve project objectives.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of project controls processes and best practice.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members where appropriate.
About You
- Experience working in a Project Controls, Project Management or PMO environment.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, reporting, governance and risk management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong administrative skills.
- Ability to analyse information, solve problems and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience working within structured project management frameworks and governance processes.
- Confident managing multiple priorities and delivering work to deadlines.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience supporting or leading project controls activities on engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of project controls tools, techniques and best practices.
- Experience producing project reports and tracking project performance.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to wider project objectives.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent practical experience in Project Management, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
- A recognised Project Management qualification such as APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
