Senior Project Engineer (Mechnical OR Electrical) - Leading Engineering Contractor - Reading - up to £95,000 + package - SC CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Our client is one of the UK's leading Engineering & Services companies with a turnover approaching £450 million. They are currently seeking 2X experienced MEP Senior Project Engineers (1 Mechanical & 1 Electrical bias).

This particular scheme is a major secure MOD/defence refurbishment project involving the transformation and upgrade of an existing building to provide modern office/workplace accommodation. The scheme incorporates a significant building-services upgrade, with our client delivering the M&E package. Works are understood to include the refurbishment/replacement of existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure alongside the new office fit-out, within a highly controlled and security-sensitive environment. 

In short, you’d be:

• Taking ownership of the electrical or mechanical packages on this project.
• Leading on H&S and ensuring a genuine “safety first” culture on site.
• Working closely with pre-contract and delivery teams to de-risk and optimise the project.
• Managing risk, compliance, and client relationships, and driving continuous improvement.
• Re-engineering and value-engineering installations to meet client needs while protecting margins.
• Providing accurate progress and financial updates and ensuring smooth project close-out.

Package includes:

• Negotiable basic salary up to £95,000
