Senior Project Manager - Life Sciences

Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager looking to make a significant impact in the Life Sciences sector? Our client, a leading organisation in the Medical Device and Pharma industry, is seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join their team on a temporary basis. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of £40.00 and the potential for an extended contract.

Position: Senior Project Manager
Location: Remote
Contract Length: 10 months (with possibility of extension up to 24 months)
Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
Desired Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project management team to achieve goals set by Group leadership.
  • Manage complex projects across divisions, developing tasks, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Create and maintain documentation, ensuring quality and organisation.
  • Oversee project budgets, collaborating with finance and cross-functional departments.
  • Identify and communicate project risks, tracking status and contingencies.
  • Facilitate meetings and ensure alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic development and process improvement initiatives.

Who is the Ideal Candidate?
Our client is looking for a candidate who possesses:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 9 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to manage business transformations.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a knack for multitasking.
  • Proven ability to direct cross-functional teams and influence business partners.

Desired Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in the sciences or an M.B.A. is advantageous.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and regulatory compliance in medical devices is beneficial.
  • Experience in the IVD industry and M&A/divestiture processes is highly valued.
