Falcon Green are partnered with a leading European Tier 1 Main Contractor specialising in the delivery of complex, large-scale mission critical and life sciences projects across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Civils) to lead the civil works package on a major hyperscale data centre project in Northumberland.
As Senior Project Manager (Civils), you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of all civil engineering works across the project. Working closely with the Project Director, site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and the end client, you will ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale civil engineering packages on mission critical, infrastructure, industrial, or major construction projects.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of all civil engineering works on a large-scale data centre project.
- Oversee project planning, programme management, and resource allocation to ensure key milestones are achieved.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, design requirements, and client expectations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies where required.
- Manage project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial performance alongside the commercial team.
- Drive a strong health, safety, and quality culture across the project.
- Chair and lead progress meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and construction methodologies.
- Support procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials, plant, and labour resources.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and the client team.
- Ensure successful project handover, documentation close-out, and client satisfaction upon completion.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager leading major civil engineering packages.
- Previous experience delivering data centre, mission critical, infrastructure, industrial, energy, or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, roads, utilities, foundations, and reinforced concrete structures.
- Excellent programme management and construction planning capabilities.
- Commercially aware with experience managing project budgets and contractual obligations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced project environment and drive successful project outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project planning software.
