A leading independent construction consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its established London team. The Senior Project Manager will initially support major healthcare projects, working with high-profile public and private sector clients across complex refurbishment and new-build programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who wants to develop within a respected consultancy while retaining the chance to work across other sectors. Although healthcare will be a key focus, the successful Senior Project Manager can also gain experience within commercial, residential, education, life sciences and mixed-use developments. The Senior Project Manager will join a collaborative team that offers strong career progression and exposure to projects from early feasibility through to completion.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Senior Project Manager's role
The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for delivering projects through the full development lifecycle. This will include preparing project programmes, managing consultant teams, monitoring budgets, overseeing procurement and maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
The Senior Project Manager will lead meetings, manage project risks and ensure schemes are delivered to the required quality, cost and programme. They will also support junior members of the team and contribute to the continued growth of the healthcare service.
While the Senior Project Manager will initially work on healthcare schemes, the consultancy is open to aligning future project exposure with their wider sector interests.
The Senior Project Manager
The successful Senior Project Manager will have:
- Previous project management experience within a UK construction consultancy
- Experience delivering healthcare, public sector or other complex construction projects
- A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Chartered status with RICS, APM, CIOB or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
- Strong client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing projects through multiple RIBA stages
- A commercial approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
