An established project management consultancy in London is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its growing team. The successful Senior Project Manager will deliver healthcare, education and wider public-sector projects across the capital. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who enjoys managing complex schemes and working closely with clients.

The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for projects from initial briefing through to completion. Acting as the main client contact, the Senior Project Manager will coordinate consultants, manage programmes and maintain high standards of delivery.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.



The Senior Project Manager's role

The Senior Project Manager will manage healthcare, education and other public-sector developments throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include preparing project execution plans, developing programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and managing procurement activity. The Senior Project Manager will chair client and project meetings, monitor budgets and timescales, manage risks and produce clear progress reports.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships with clients, contractors and consultants while ensuring each project is delivered in line with agreed quality, cost and programme requirements. The position may also involve mentoring Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers, contributing to business development and supporting the continued growth of the London team.



The Senior Project Manager

The successful Senior Project Manager will have:

  • Significant project management experience within a construction consultancy
  • Experience delivering healthcare, education or public-sector projects
  • A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related construction discipline
  • MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or another relevant professional qualification
  • A strong understanding of procurement, contracts and the construction project lifecycle
  • Excellent client-facing, leadership and communication skills
  • The ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
  • A commercially focused and organised approach
