A well-established construction consultancy in Manchester is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who is degree qualified, ideally chartered, and confident leading projects independently from inception through to completion.

The Senior Project Manager will take ownership of multiple commissions, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior stakeholders. This Senior Project Manager role would suit a capable Senior Project Manager who can manage multidisciplinary teams, maintain strong client relationships, and provide high-quality project leadership. The successful Senior Project Manager will join a respected consultancy with a strong regional presence and clear opportunities for continued progression.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.



The Senior Project Manager's role

The Senior Project Manager will lead projects through feasibility, design, procurement, construction, handover, and close-out.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, consultant coordination, procurement, contract administration, risk management, change control, stakeholder engagement, and project reporting.

The Senior Project Manager will chair project meetings, monitor contractor performance, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and provide clear professional advice to clients. They will also support junior colleagues and help maintain strong standards across the wider project management team.



The Senior Project Manager

The successful Senior Project Manager will have:

  • Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
  • Strong experience leading projects independently
  • A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
  • Ideally MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or another relevant professional qualification
  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary consultant teams
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
  • The ability to manage multiple commissions simultaneously
  • A commercially aware and proactive approach
