Senior Project Manager Construction Consultancy in Manchester

A well-established construction consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with strong experience delivering education, healthcare and other complex public-sector projects. The successful Senior Project Manager will join a respected consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality schemes for a broad range of clients.

The Senior Project Manager will take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, design teams, contractors and key stakeholders. They are looking for a Senior Project Manager who can confidently lead projects, manage multiple workstreams and provide clear, professional advice throughout the construction process. This would particularly suit a Senior Project Manager who enjoys complex, stakeholder-heavy environments and wants to progress within a supportive consultancy.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of education, healthcare and wider public-sector developments, taking responsibility for programme, risk, procurement, design coordination and overall project performance.

You will chair project meetings, manage consultant teams, monitor construction progress, provide regular reporting to clients and ensure schemes are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality expectations.

Given the nature of the projects, strong stakeholder management will be particularly important, including working with end users, public bodies, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful Senior Project Manager will ideally have:

• Strong Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
• Proven experience delivering education and/or healthcare projects
• Experience on public-sector or other stakeholder-intensive developments
• Strong knowledge of the full construction project lifecycle
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing consultant teams, contractors, programmes and project risk
• A relevant construction, property or Project Management degree
• Ideally MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB or another recognised professional qualification
• The ability to manage projects independently and support more junior colleagues
