The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing civil engineering and infrastructure packages related to a major defence programme. Your daily actions will involve managing project scope, cost, schedule, and risk, steering multidisciplinary teams, engaging with senior stakeholders, and ensuring safe and timely delivery from design to handover. You will also drive contractor performance, resolve issues, and report progress to leadership.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

  • Proven experience leading major civil engineering or infrastructure projects in a highly regulated environment
  • Extensive knowledge of NEC4 contract management and administration
  • Strong background in managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants
  • Demonstrable success in managing project risks, change, and commercial aspects
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership with a relevant professional institution
  • Sa experience working with or obtaining SC clearance, with flexibility to work on-site in Glasgow or HMNB Clyde
Desirable qualifications include SMSTS or equivalent site management certification, experience with heavy civils, marine, structural or defence infrastructure projects, and familiarity with contract administration systems such as CEMAR.
