Senior Project Manager | Vienna, Austria

Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager for a major data centre project in Vienna, Austria.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex data centre projects, working closely with the client, subcontractors and a multidisciplinary project team.

As Senior Project Manager, you will take responsibility for project delivery, programme, budget, risk and stakeholder management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required standards.

Senior Project Manager Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major data centre projects from planning through to completion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the project delivery team.
• Manage project programme, milestones, budget, risks and opportunities.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, resources and progress against programme.
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with agreed scope, safety requirements and execution plans.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly project progress reports.
• Manage contract budgets, costs, KPIs and SLAs.
• Coordinate project inspections and ensure works meet the required quality and technical standards.
• Act as the key point of contact for major project issues and technical escalations.
• Ensure appropriate risk assessments, permits and safe systems of work are in place.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure project objectives and deadlines are achieved.

Senior Project Manager Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior Project Manager or similar role.
• Professional Project Management qualification or relevant trade qualification.
• Proven experience delivering data centre projects or data centre upgrade works.
• Strong understanding of critical electrical and mechanical data centre systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, AHUs and chilled water systems.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety, risk assessments and control measures.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors and external service providers.
• Strong commercial, programme and project management skills.
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong leadership, influencing and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
• Willingness to travel and work abroad where required.
