An established UK infrastructure and engineering business delivering complex projects across the transport and civil engineering sectors is looking for an experienced Senior Civils Planner to join its delivery team.

The organisation has a long-standing track record of delivering major infrastructure schemes, including rail infrastructure, civil engineering, structures, highways and other complex construction works. The business focuses on delivering practical, innovative solutions while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, programme performance and value.

The role will be predominantly based from a regional project office and associated construction site in West Yorkshire, with occasional travel to other project and delivery locations across the region.

The Role

Supporting progress reporting by providing planning insight, identifying emerging issues and helping develop effective mitigation strategies.

Developing fully resourced programmes and reviewing programme outputs against project requirements and expectations.

Contributing to project risk registers and undertaking schedule risk analysis.

Working with planners, engineers and delivery teams to identify and manage critical interfaces.

Supporting collaborative planning sessions, workshops and interface meetings.

Maintaining accurate and well-organised project planning documentation.

Supporting the development and delivery of planning processes and sharing planning information across project teams.

Contributing to the coaching, development and training of less experienced planning team members.

Preparing programmes for bids and tenders and supporting the management of tender queries.

Developing construction methodologies and establishing competitive outputs in conjunction with estimators, project teams and, where appropriate, the supply chain.

Working with design teams to establish requirements and briefs for temporary works.

Providing estimators and commercial teams with justified programmes for temporary works and other indirect cost elements.

Undertaking other planning and project-related responsibilities as required.
