Our client, a renowned aerospace manufacturer based in Kidderminster, is expanding its Quality team and is looking to recruit 4 Senior Quality Inspectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a cutting-edge organisation working on highly engineered aerospace products where quality, precision, and innovation are at the heart of everything they do.

Senior Quality Inspector Responsibilities

  • Senior Quality Inspector will inspect parts and assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and process requirements.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections across multiple projects.
  • Generate, collate, and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) using Visual FAIR.
  • Raise and support the investigation of non-conformances and quality issues.
  • Operate, program, and troubleshoot CMM equipment as required.
  • Carry out manual inspections using precision measuring equipment including micrometres, height gauges, and shadowgraphs.
  • Approve rework and verify compliance to quality standards.
  • Conduct internal, supplier, and process audits.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and root cause investigations.
  • Provide mentoring and technical support to inspectors and production teams.

Senior Quality Inspector Requirements

  • Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • Senior Quality Inspector will have experience within aerospace/manufacturing/ engineering environment.
  • Experience generating and managing FAIRs.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

  • CMM operation and programming experience.
  • Experience using Visual FAIR software.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis tools such as 8D and 5 Whys.
  • Internal Auditor AS9100/EN9100 training.
  • Aerospace, defence, or highly regulated manufacturing experience

Duration: 6 Months +

Rate: £35 an hour (Inside IR35)
