A progressive independent construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a leading role on a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, and education sectors while working closely with an ambitious leadership team.
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be entrusted with delivering projects from inception through to completion, providing strategic commercial advice and ensuring exceptional outcomes for clients. Alongside leading project delivery, you will mentor junior surveyors, strengthen client relationships, and play an active part in the continued growth of the consultancy.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking greater influence within a collaborative business that values initiative, rewards performance, and offers a genuine pathway into senior leadership.
Senior Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:
Managing the commercial delivery of multiple construction projects from feasibility to final account
Preparing detailed cost plans, procurement advice, and tender documentation
Leading contract administration, valuations, variations, and final account negotiations
Producing accurate financial reports and advising clients on commercial risk
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the Quantity Surveying team
Assisting with business development and identifying opportunities for repeat work
Senior Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
Significant experience within a UK consultancy environment
MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and established procurement routes
Proven ability to manage projects independently and build lasting client relationships
Excellent communication, leadership, and commercial management skills
In Return:
£70,000-£75,000 per annum
