Senior Quantity Surveyor - Nuclear & Engineering
Location - Warrington (Hybrid Working)
Salary/Package - £55,000 - £70,000 + Excellent Benefits Package
About the Company
Our client is a leading engineering and infrastructure specialist delivering complex, safety-critical projects across highly regulated sectors including nuclear, defence, energy, and industrial infrastructure. With decades of technical expertise and a reputation for engineering excellence, they provide innovative solutions throughout the full project lifecycle, from consultancy and design through to construction, commissioning, and asset support.
As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Warrington, supporting the successful delivery of major engineering and construction projects.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the commercial delivery of complex engineering and construction projects
- Administering NEC contracts, with a strong focus on Option C and/or Option E
- Preparing and managing cost forecasts, CVRs, and commercial reporting
- Managing subcontract procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Supporting project teams with commercial advice and contractual guidance
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
- Working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, clients, and key stakeholders
- Supporting cost control and driving commercial performance across multiple projects
- Contributing to the successful delivery of high-value programmes within a highly regulated environment
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:
- A minimum of five years' post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Strong experience administering NEC contracts, ideally Option C and/or Option E
- Previous experience within the construction, engineering, infrastructure, or nuclear sectors
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment
- A proactive, commercially focused approach with excellent attention to detail
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline
Essential Requirements
- British National (security clearance requirements apply)
- Ability to satisfy security vetting requirements associated with the role
