Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location - Blackpool

Salary/Package - £65,000 + Excellent Benefits Package

Our client is an established construction and shop fitting contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the UK.

The business works across a range of commercial environments, delivering projects from initial design and procurement through to completion. With continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for shop fitting and commercial projects, working closely with the project and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully, profitably and to programme.

This is a senior position offering genuine responsibility across the full commercial lifecycle, from pre-construction and procurement through to final account.

• Commercial management of shop fitting and commercial projects

• Managing project costs, budgets and forecasts

• Preparing CVRs and commercial reports

• Managing subcontract procurement and subcontractor accounts

• Reviewing and agreeing valuations and payment applications

• Managing variations, change and additional works

• Preparing and agreeing final accounts

• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities

• Working closely with Project Managers and site teams

• Reviewing contract documentation and ensuring contractual compliance

• Managing client relationships and attending commercial meetings

• Supporting pre-construction, tendering and estimating activities

• Providing commercial advice to senior management

• Ensuring projects are delivered in line with commercial targets

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Strong main contracting or specialist contracting background

• Experience within shop fitting, fit out or commercial construction

• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge

• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chains

• Strong CVR, forecasting and cost control experience

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills

• Strong client-facing ability

• Relevant Quantity Surveying or construction qualification preferred

• Full UK driving licence

• £65,000 salary + Excellent Benefits package
