Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a well-established Tier 1 M&E Contractor who are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. They specialise in pre-fabrication, new installation and refurbishment, providing market leading services across various sectors including Commercial, Education, Leisure, Accommodation, Residential, MOD/MOJ, Industrial, Retail and Health.

The initial project you would be involved in is a £120m new build project within the education sector (£28m M&E) which will go on until March 2028. Following on from this there is a strong pipeline of work that will offer security and the opportunity to progress to Managing QS and beyond!

MEP experience is not essential due to the current Operations and Pre-Construction team’s capabilities from a technical expertise, they are very open to candidates from a build/construction background. Strong commercial understanding is what’s important as training and development will be provided in other areas with support from wider commercial and ops teams.

Responsibilities:

•             Lead MEP package on NEC 4 contract

•             Maximise project cashflow by effective commercial management.

•             Contribute to relevant project procurement strategies with particular focus on the issuing of tender enquiries, package reconciliations and production of subcontract orders.
