Conrad Consulting is delighted to be partnering with a leading UK property and construction consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for their growing Leeds team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Leeds seeking exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across the education, residential, commercial and public sectors. Joining a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality cost management services from project inception through to completion.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll work alongside an established team of construction professionals delivering innovative and commercially successful projects across Yorkshire and the wider UK. You'll have the autonomy to manage commissions while mentoring junior colleagues and building long-term relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare feasibility studies, cost plans and preliminary estimates.
  • Produce high-quality tender documentation and pricing information.
  • Review tenders, negotiate contract sums and prepare cost profiles.
  • Manage projects effectively to ensure delivery against agreed objectives.
  • Apply risk management principles throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Administer post-contract procedures, variations and certifications.
  • Prepare and agree final accounts with contractors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the quantity surveying team.
About You

To be considered for this Senior Quantity Surveyor job in Leeds, you will ideally possess:

  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • MRICS status or a clear commitment to achieving chartership.
  • Significant experience in a consultancy or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of current construction and health & safety legislation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-standard software.
  • A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills.
