Senior Quantity Surveyor

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing consultancy in Newcastle.

You'll be joining an established team delivering a broad mix of education and public sector projects, taking the lead on commercial matters while supporting junior members of the team.

• Managing projects from a commercial perspective through all project stages
• Producing and reviewing cost plans
• Running procurement exercises and preparing tender documentation
• Administering NEC and JCT contracts
• Managing valuations, variations and final accounts
• Acting as the main commercial contact for clients
• Supporting and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within a consultancy is preferred, although contractor experience will also be considered
• Experience working on education or public sector projects would be beneficial
• DfE project experience is an advantage but not essential
• Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
• MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
• Able to build strong relationships with clients and project teams

• £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience
