Senior Quantity Surveyor – Data Centres | Nordic Rotation

Emco Talent is supporting a leading international contractor in the recruitment of an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on major hyperscale data centre projects across the Nordics.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering some of Europe's most significant mission-critical developments, working within a highly experienced project team on complex MEP and CSA packages.

The role is offered on a rotational basis and would suit candidates with a strong main contractor background who have experience delivering large-scale construction projects.

The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of major construction packages from procurement through to final account. Working closely with the Commercial Lead, Project Managers and site teams, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered commercially, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

This position offers the opportunity to work on high-value, technically challenging projects while developing your career within the rapidly growing data centre sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of major construction work packages.
  • Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
  • Cost reporting, forecasting and budget control.
  • Managing variations, change control and commercial risk.
  • Preparing and negotiating subcontract accounts.
  • Supporting monthly valuations and commercial reporting.
  • Working closely with project delivery teams to maximise commercial performance.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Supporting the successful commercial delivery of large-scale projects from start to completion.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working for a main contractor.
  • Previous experience delivering large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience within data centres, mission-critical, MEP, CSA, pharmaceutical, industrial or major infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational basis across the Nordics.
