Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP /CSA)

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP/CSA) to join our clients project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of one of Europe's largest Data Centre projects reporting into a Commercial Manager, ensuring costs are controlled, value is maximised, and financial delivery is achieved in line with project objectives.
Requirements
* Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project lifecycle
* Prepare, review, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
* Lead the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, tendering, and contract negotiations
* Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities to ensure financial control
* Support and collaborate with Project Managers, Package Managers, and site teams on cost management
* Ensure all contractual documentation is maintained and up to date
* Attend Commercial Meetings, Site Meetings, and Project Reviews
* Evaluate and process change orders and manage variations in line with contract requirements
* Prepare and submit interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
* Provide commercial advice and support to the wider project team
* Ensure compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and company procedures
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management
* Proactively identify and resolve commercial and contractual issues
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar discipline
* Minimum 8+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within construction
* Strong experience managing commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects
* Proven track record in cost control, procurement, and contract administration
* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial management skills
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams
* High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
* Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
