Are you an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of high-profile rail infrastructure schemes?
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Rail Framework team. You will play a pivotal commercial role in delivering Access for All (AfA) station upgrades across four key sites in the Greater Manchester region-improving accessibility and leaving a lasting positive impact on public transit.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Cost Management: Drive accurate commercial reporting, forecasting, cost control, and change management (identifying, measuring, and pricing variations) to maximize profitability targets.
Subcontractor Accounts: Oversee the end-to-end management of supply chain accounts-from procurement and valuations to variations, payments, and final accounts.
Contractual Compliance: Ensure all operations strictly align with NEC3 contract terms, corporate governance, and business standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Delivery, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to provide clear commercial insight and operational support.
Team Leadership: Line manage, mentor, and develop direct reports, fostering competence and career progression across your commercial team.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
Main Contractor Civils/Rail Experience: Proven background in a main contractor environment with a strong track record in procurement and subcontract management.
Rail & NEC3 Expertise: Demonstrable experience operating within the rail sector and working under NEC3 forms of contract.
Qualifications: Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent commercial discipline) with an active CSCS card.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Strong team management skills with proven capability in resolving complex accounts and disputes.
Desirable:
Working towards or holding professional chartership (MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent).
