Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of a prestigious construction projects in the Cornwall region?

We are working with a well-established and growing construction contractor to recruit an Experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of a portfolio is high end schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive business with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the South West.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of at least 2 projects concurrently
• Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
• Oversee procurement activities and subcontractor appointments
• Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements and contract documentation
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Produce accurate monthly cost and value reports for senior management
• Prepare and submit applications for payment in line with contract requirements
• Monitor and manage change control procedures
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary
• Support project delivery teams to achieve programme and financial objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
• Mentor and support junior commercial team members

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
• Experience delivering new build construction projects, preferably high end
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Strong reporting, forecasting, and financial management abilities
• Full UK Driving Licence
