Senior R&D Engineering Consultant

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Engineer with an interest in innovation and technology.

You will work with engineering clients to understand their innovative projects and help them access R&D Tax Credits, Patent Box and government grants.

You will speak with Engineering Directors and technical teams and turn complex engineering information into clear reports to support funding claims.

Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Speak with clients about their engineering projects and technical challenges.

• Identify R&D, innovation and technological advancements.

• Write clear technical reports for R&D claims and grant applications.

• Work across mechanical, civil, structural, manufacturing and other engineering disciplines.

• Visit client sites when required.

• Work closely with the internal team to deliver high-quality reports.

• Keep up to date with R&D, engineering and new technologies.

About You

• Engineering degree or Master's or PhD.

• Strong engineering experience.

• Good communication and report-writing skills.

• Confident speaking with senior engineers, directors and clients.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Interested in innovation and R&D.

• Previous R&D tax experience is not required – full training is provided.
