We are recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a specialist 2-bed children's residential home in Coventry, supporting young people aged 8-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

The Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, leading shifts, supporting colleagues and helping to deliver high-quality care and support to young people.
You will work closely with the management team to promote positive outcomes, safeguard children and maintain high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and support the smooth operation of the home
- Act as a positive role model for children and colleagues
- Support children with their daily routines, education and independence skills
- Complete care plans, reports and other required documentation
- Promote safeguarding and positive behaviour support strategies
- Support and mentor less experienced members of staff
- Work collaboratively with social workers, families and other professionals
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) - Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence - Essential
- Previous experience within a Children's Residential Home
- Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of children's residential care regulations
- Ability to lead shifts and support less experienced team members
- Calm, resilient and child-focused approach

- £14.00 - £15.00 per hour depending on experience
- £60 per sleep-in
- Average 171 contracted hours per month
