We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Registered Nurse to join our specialist neurological care centre, Stagenhoe, in Hertfordshire.
At Stagenhoe, we support adults with a range of neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries, helping them maximise their independence, wellbeing and quality of life through expert neurorehabilitation and person-centred care.
About the Role
As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical leadership and support to a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, holistic care. You will play a key role in staff supervision, development and performance management while promoting clinical excellence across the service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, supporting and supervising nursing and care teams
- Delivering and overseeing high standards of person-centred care
- Supporting the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care programmes
- Providing mentorship, coaching and development opportunities for colleagues and students
- Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and performance management processes
- Promoting safeguarding, clinical governance and best practice
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records in line with policies and legislation
- Identifying training needs and encouraging continuous professional development across the team
- Acting as a role model and contributing to a positive learning culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- NMC Registered Nurse qualification with post-registration clinical experience
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Mentor qualification or willingness to undertake accredited mentor training
- Experience of leading, supporting and motivating teams in a clinical environment
- Knowledge of current healthcare legislation and safeguarding requirements
- Understanding of best practice for individuals with neurological conditions and complex needs
- Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to delivering outstanding care and supporting colleagues to succeed
