Senior Residential Support Worker. Children & Young People

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join a new dynamic team in Netherton. In this pivotal role, you will not only be responsible for the well-being of our children and young people but also serve as a mentor and role model for.

Your primary responsibilities will involve providing emotional support and fostering meaningful relationships with the children and young people in our care. You will play a crucial role in establishing clear boundaries and routines, creating a nurturing environment that they can genuinely consider their home.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will take an active interest in each child and young person’s individual needs and aspirations. Whether their passions lie in sports, cooking, music, or any other area, you will encourage and facilitate their development, helping them to discover and pursue their interests.

Empowering our children and young people to build confidence and self-esteem is fundamental to this role. Your influence will be instrumental in helping them realise their potential and fostering a positive outlook.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will provide support and guidance to members of the team, supervise and take leadership during shifts. You will have the ability to provide clear delegation, have strong organisation skills and work competant within challenging situations. As a Senior, you will require integrity, and strong work ethics.

You will need:

A certain understanding of Children's Home Regulations and Quality Standards.

A certain knowledge of Ofsted procedures and legislation.

The ability to work with a close knit team at all times.

This is a role that requires a strong character and resolve, with consistency and passion.

 You will require:

NVQ Level 4 Children & Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent.

Able to work shift patterns and sleep-ins.

Have previous experience working in the Care Sector.     

Clear DBS                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Hold a Full UK driving licence.

The home is set in a beautiful part of Netherton, it is a three bedroomed property and will cater for one young person within an EBD setting. The home has recently been refurbished to a high standard and we are currently in the registeration process with OFSTED. This is a new solo home, which is our 3rd home within Ironstone Care. Our other two homes are beautiful, with young people thriving within our care.
