Whether you're an experienced Senior Practitioner looking to develop towards Team Leader, or an existing Team Leader seeking a fresh opportunity in a supportive organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
We support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), trauma and complex needs, providing safe, nurturing homes built around positive relationships and trauma-informed practice.
Your role
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care using the PACE approach.
- Support young people's emotional wellbeing, education, daily routines and independence.
- Lead shifts, coordinate staff and maintain effective handovers.
- Mentor colleagues and help build a positive, supportive team culture.
- Maintain safeguarding standards and manage challenging situations professionally.
- Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, incident reports and daily records.
- Support the management team with quality assurance, Ofsted compliance and the day-to-day running of the home.
- Build positive working relationships with social workers, families and other professionals.
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- Previous hands-on experience in children's residential care, ideally supporting young people with EBD, SEMH or complex needs.
- Experience leading shifts, mentoring colleagues or undertaking senior responsibilities.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and therapeutic care.
- Flexibility to work a rota including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Existing UK right to work covering the duties and hours of the role, without requiring employer sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Full UK driving licence, ideally manual.
- Previous Senior Practitioner or Team Leader experience.
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and Children's Homes Regulations.
Why join us?
We believe in investing in our people as much as the children and young people we support.
You'll benefit from:
- Career progression opportunities towards Team Leader, Deputy Manager and Registered Manager.
- Ongoing professional development and training.
- Regular clinical consultations with our clinical psychologist.
- Supportive management and team development.
- Performance-related bonus opportunities and sleep-in payments.
- A rewarding environment where your contribution genuinely matters.
