£28,928 - £36,528 + Night Shift Premium of 1/3 hourly rate (which can work out to be approx £3,000 per year)
37 hours per week | 3 week rolling rota (1x24.5hrs shift; 10am – 10.30am and 2x14hrs shift; 8am - 10pm.
This is a role, working with of the largest childrens charitys in England, with over 800 services countrywide (and counting). 2-3 yrs ago, we signed contracts with the Leicestershire county council to create 8 new services within the area varying on the care needs from a mother and baby unit, respite, childrens homes for EBD and sexual abuse to this mental health step down service. We have successfully completed that project and now looking to finalise that last of its recruitment stage. Therefore, we are looking for an excellent Senior Residential Worker - Children & Young People’s to start their career with us. You will be working with children and young people that require in-depth and sometimes very complex care to empower them to live with their parents and exceed in a wonderful life.
🏠 About the Service
One of the largest childrens charitys in England. A safe, therapeutic home supporting young people transitioning from Tier 4 CAMHS back into the community. Focused on recovery, independence, and emotional resilience - with a strong, supportive team around them aged 8-18yrs old.
🔑 Your Role as a Senior Residential Worker - Children & Young People’s
To build trust and develop nurturing relationships which promote the service user's independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
To work in partnership and build relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.
To lead and support the Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day duties.
To contribute to the upkeep of the home including cooking, cleaning etc.
To document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
To ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
To promote, monitor and maintain a safe environment at all times.
✅ What We’re Looking For
Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle (essential)
Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)
Experience with children/young people in care settings
Understanding of mental health & trauma-informed practice
Flexibility to work shifts (including weekends/bank holidays)
Strong communication skills
