The Opportunity
A leading diversified organisation in the Cayman Islands is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Risk Manager to take responsibility for risk management, health & safety, insurance and business resilience across a complex, multi-site operational portfolio.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a Senior Risk Manager with extensive international risk experience and, critically, a strong background in insurance. The successful individual will advise executives and operational leaders, lead the Health & Safety strategy and support the procurement and management of local and international corporate insurance programmes.
The Senior Risk Manager will need to be comfortable operating at both strategic and operational level, working across office and field-based environments and influencing stakeholders throughout the organisation.
Responsibilities
As Senior Risk Manager, you will:
Lead and develop the organisation's Health & Safety strategy, management systems, governance and compliance frameworks.
Provide specialist advice on commercial, operational and insurable risks.
Support the procurement and ongoing management of a broad range of corporate insurance programmes across local and overseas markets.
Review insurance policy wordings and indemnification provisions within business contracts.
Lead operational risk assessments, business vulnerability reviews and risk mitigation planning.
Manage significant incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions and lessons learned.
Develop risk dashboards, KPIs and management reporting to support executive decision-making.
Champion Business Continuity Planning, disaster recovery, emergency response and organisational resilience.
Develop and deliver risk and safety training across different business areas.
Manage H&S resources and support emergency preparedness across multiple locations.
Experience Required
The successful Senior Risk Manager must have:
15+ years' progressive experience in risk management, insurance, health & safety or a related discipline, including at least five years at senior management level.
Substantial insurance experience is essential, with broad knowledge of insurance products, corporate insurance programmes and international insurance markets.
Experience of insurance procurement, claims management, policy wording reviews and contractual indemnities.
Proven experience implementing Health & Safety management systems across diverse or multi-site operations.
Strong experience of incident investigation, risk assessment and Business Continuity Planning.
Experience working directly with senior leadership and presenting risk and safety information to executive stakeholders.
A Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Health & Safety or another relevant discipline.
An internationally recognised qualification such as CRM, CSP, CRSP, NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma, CMIOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, IRM, ARM or CRMP.
The Senior Risk Manager should also be credible, commercially aware and capable of driving change across varied operational environments.

The Senior Risk Manager will receive an attractive Cayman Islands package including:
$5,000 relocation allowance.
