Are you an experienced Safety Case Consultant looking to take the lead on technically challenging, safety-critical projects?
We're looking for a Senior Safety Case Consultant to join a growing team delivering high-quality nuclear safety case solutions across major programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex engineering projects while mentoring junior engineers, influencing safety strategy, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The Role
As a Senior Safety Case Consultant, you'll lead the delivery of technical safety case activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and facilitating HAZID and HAZOP studies
  • Producing and verifying radiological safety assessments, including dose calculations, risk assessments and ALARP demonstrations
  • Preparing and reviewing nuclear safety documentation, including PSRs, PCSRs and other safety reports
  • Managing technical delivery, ensuring work is completed to programme and budget while proactively managing project risks
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior consultants
  • Supporting the development of robust safety case strategies and sharing best practice across multiple projects
  • Working closely with engineering, radiological protection and wider project teams to deliver integrated safety solutions

About You
You'll have:

  • Significant experience producing nuclear safety cases
  • Strong understanding of ALARP principles and their practical application
  • Knowledge of the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) Safety Assessment Principles
  • Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • An Engineering or Science degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Chartered status, or be actively working towards professional registration (desirable)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain SC Security Clearance
