Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Senior Security Supervisor to report to the Lead Security Supervisor and take responsibility for the leadership, management, and operational effectiveness of Guarding Services.
This role is integral to supporting a safe, secure, and efficient operating environment. The successful candidate will supervise Guarding Teams, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality security services and effective incident response.
Job Description
The Senior Security Supervisor will lead operational and technical security activities, oversee incident management, maintain compliance with operational standards, and support the continuous improvement of security operations. This position requires strong leadership, sound decision-making, and the ability to manage security operations in a dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will lead Guarding Teams in the delivery of operational and technical security services, oversee incident management activities, maintain compliance with operational standards, and support the continuous improvement of security operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Security Supervisors and Guarding staff, promoting professionalism and accountability.
- Ensure Guarding operations are staffed with trained and accredited personnel in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and coordinate responses to technical, physical, and resilience incidents, ensuring effective command and communication.
- Oversee integrated security and building management systems, ensuring effective operation and issue resolution.
- Support operations as required to maintain service continuity.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, assignment instructions, risk assessments, and organisational policies.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, police, and security partners to support prevention, detection, and intelligence-led activities.
- Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, financial records, and Guarding Services documentation.
About You
- Proven leadership and resource management experience within a security or related environment.
- Experience working in operations or security control room settings.
- Strong incident management, command, and control experience.
- Technical understanding of integrated security systems.
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, intranet systems, and email.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable, responsible, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Security sector experience.
- Valid driving licence.
- Valid SIA Guarding licence.
