We are currently recruiting for aa Senior SHE Advisor to work on a permanent basis in Chorley/Hybrid.
Salary is c£50-55,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holiday, pension etc.
The role is working a 4 day working week - Monday to Thursday.
About the Senior SHE Advisor role:
This is a key role within the business, providing practical Safety, Health & Environmental support across engineering, manufacturing, projects and wider operational activities. You will help ensure high standards of SHE are maintained, while working closely with teams across the business to identify risks, improve processes and promote a positive safety culture.
We are looking for someone who is already established within a dedicated SHE role and who is confident working within a hands-on engineering, manufacturing or technical environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day SHE advice, supporting compliance with legislation and company procedures, and helping teams manage risks effectively. You will carry out inspections and audits, support risk assessments and RAMS, assist with contractor management and contribute to incident investigations and corrective actions.
A strong presence within the operational environment is important. You will need to be comfortable engaging with managers, supervisors, employees, contractors and other stakeholders, while having the confidence to positively challenge behaviours and standards when required.
You will also support engineering and project teams by providing practical SHE input into activities, helping to identify hazards and ensure suitable controls are in place. The role will involve contributing to SHE improvements, maintaining accurate records and reporting, delivering toolbox talks and briefings, and helping to develop a proactive safety culture throughout the business.
Experience required for the Senior SHE Advisor role:

3–5+ years' experience in a dedicated SHE / HSE role.

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, industrial projects or another technical environment.

Strong experience with risk assessments, RAMS, contractor management, incident investigation, audits and SHE compliance.

A practical understanding of workplace safety legislation and management systems.

The confidence to work visibly within operational environments and challenge unsafe practices where necessary.

Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.

The ability to work independently, use initiative and provide pragmatic solutions to SHE issues.

Experience supporting operational, engineering or project teams with SHE requirements.

NEBOSH General Certificate and Tech IOSH membership or working towards.
