About this Role:
Experienced Senior Site Manager required to work as No2 to the Project Manager on a £15m new build extra care home in Portchester, Hampshire. This project is underway on site with structure and external envelope complete, so focus will be on the internal fit out through to completion of one of the two blocks.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site based construction activities including short-term programming of works, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, logistics, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handover.
This project is well underway and is due to complete in the Spring next year
There is a solid pipeline of follow on work in the region for this main contractor, including several more schemes for the same client in Petersfield and Borden.

The contractor is a busy regional main contractor with a £70m annual turnover in the region, and a proven track record in the delivery of new build and refurbishment schemes in the extra care, retirement, local authority, private education, commercial and leisure sectors.
Typical patch covers Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
The successful candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience as a Senior / Site Manager, will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management and communication skills.
Previous experience of building a new care or retirement home or similar would be advantageous.
Ideally from a trades or construction management background with a sharp eye for detail, good knowledge and experience of all the trades, you will possess excellent planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.
You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
You will be an experienced Senior Site Manager able to confidently run a site alongside the PM, and happy to mentor and manage more junior Assistant and Trainee managers in their careers.
