Kenton Black are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Site Manager in the Edinburgh area. The client, a highly respected main contractor, is looking for a Senior Site Manager to lead the delivery of major construction projects across the East of Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for an established construction professional to take ownership of high-profile developments, working with a strong project team and building lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing construction projects from inception through to completion and client handover
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting Site Managers, site staff, and subcontractors on site
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials, and site logistics to ensure efficient project delivery
- Monitoring progress against programme and implementing solutions to mitigate delays
- Ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards
- Maintaining compliance with health & safety procedures, quality management systems, and site regulations
- Building strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Managing site records, daily diaries, inspections, and project documentation
- Overseeing quality control, snagging, and completion processes
- Ensuring site welfare, housekeeping, and safety records are maintained at all times

About You

- Previous experience in a Senior Site Manager or Site Manager position within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, site operations, and project delivery
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, site teams, and multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and best practice within construction
- IT proficient, including Microsoft Office and common construction management software
- Full UK driving licence

Essential

- SMSTS certification
- Valid CSCS card
- First Aid qualification
- Previous experience delivering construction projects for a main contractor environment

Desirable

- Construction-related degree or trade background with management experience
- Temporary Works Supervisor certification
- Scaffold Inspection qualification
- UKATA Asbestos Awareness certification
- Experience working on large-scale commercial, education, healthcare, or mixed-use developments
