A leading main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee a new area of works on an ongoing project in Cambridge.

This is a key site-based position for someone who is confident working autonomously, taking ownership of an area and driving delivery through to completion.

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a designated work area.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and construction activities.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
• Manage site progress, sequencing and coordination with the wider project team.
• Identify and resolve technical and delivery issues proactively.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and site compliance.
• Work independently while keeping the wider project team fully informed.

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager / Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Strong ability to work independently and take ownership of a work area.
• Civils / groundworks experience preferred, although relevant construction backgrounds will be considered.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of programme, quality and health & safety requirements.
• Able to work effectively within a busy live construction environment.
• Must be willing to undergo prison security vetting as part of the project requirements.
