About the Role
Are you an experienced and passionate Social Worker looking to make a real difference to the lives of children and families? Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking dedicated Senior Social Workers to join our well-established and supportive Children's Assessment Teams.
Rate: £30.57 per hour (Umbrella)
You will be part of Solihull's Integrated Front Door Service, which consists of:
- Emergency Duty Team (EDT)
- Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)
- Four Assessment Teams
Each Assessment Team includes:
- 6 Social Workers
- 1 ASYE
- 1 Advanced Practitioner
- 1 Team Manager
Teams operate a duty rota, with each team on duty one week in every four. During duty weeks, staff are expected to be office-based. When not on duty, attendance in the office is required for two days per week.
The role involves undertaking:
- Section 17 Assessments
- Section 47 Enquiries
- Child Impact Reports (similar to Section 7 Reports)
- Direct work with children and families to ensure timely and effective interventions
Experience
- Have strong experience in duty and assessment work
- Are passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children
- Can confidently manage safeguarding assessments and interventions
- Are committed to delivering high-quality services and working collaboratively with partner agencies
