The Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team at an exciting stage of scale. This is a senior, hands-on role with real technical leadership responsibility — you'll own complex work end-to-end, shape architecture and standards, and mentor engineers across your stream. Success here is measured not just by the code you personally ship, but by how much better you make the team around you.

You'll work across a modern, varied stack including:

• Python backend services
• Svelte / jQuery frontend applications
• AWS cloud infrastructure
• CRM integrations
• Chrome and email extensions
• OpenAI-powered workflows and automation

What You'll Do

• Own the delivery of complex features and systems end-to-end
• Break ambiguous product problems into scalable technical solutions
• Guide implementation decisions and technical trade-offs across the team
• Perform technical reviews that raise both code quality and engineer capability
• Influence architecture and design, anticipating scaling and operational risk early
• Mentor and coach engineers on implementation, debugging, and design patterns
• Improve deployment reliability, monitoring, and observability
• Lead or support production incident response and post-mortems
• Partner closely with Product and QA, communicating risks and trade-offs clearly

What We're Looking For

• Strong professional experience with backend development in Python
• Experience building modern frontend applications (Svelte and/or jQuery preferred)
• Solid understanding of APIs, distributed systems, integrations, and scalable application design
• Experience working across complex, multi-surface product ecosystems
• Proven experience mentoring or leading other engineers (team lead experience essential)

Experience with any of the following is a strong plus:

• AWS cloud infrastructure
• Browser or email extensions
• CRM integrations
• OpenAI APIs / LLM-powered applications
• Observability and operational tooling

Growth Path

This role can develop in a few directions depending on your interests and strengths, including Principal Engineer, Systems Architect, or broader Technical Leadership.
