Our client is an established structural engineering consultancy with more than a decade of experience delivering a varied portfolio of high-quality building projects. Their work includes high-end residential developments, commercial and mixed-use buildings, education and community schemes, listed buildings, complex refurbishments, extensions and bespoke architectural structures. Roles / Responsibilities


  • Lead the structural design and delivery of building projects from concept through to construction.

  • Produce and review structural calculations, design packages, technical reports and specifications.

  • Design structural elements in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.

  • Manage project programmes, technical outputs and day-to-day client communication.

  • Coordinate closely with architects, contractors and wider multidisciplinary design teams.

  • Attend design meetings, structural surveys and site inspections.

  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to junior engineers.

  • Contribute to the development of client relationships and the continued growth of the consultancy.


Qualifications


  • Approximately 5-8 years' UK structural engineering consultancy experience.

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.

  • Proven experience independently delivering building structures projects.

  • Strong technical capability across steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry design.

  • Good working knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant British Standards.

  • Confident client-facing, project management and communication skills.

  • Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior engineers.

  • Chartered status with MIStructE or MICE is highly desirable; candidates progressing well towards Chartership will also be considered.

  • Experience with software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds, MasterSeries, AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS or Robot would be advantageous.
