The Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will join an award-winning engineering consultancy in their London office on a hybrid basis. This role will involve working on projects with a range of materials and in several sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead in structural engineering projects
- Successfully communicate with contractors, clients, architects, and other colleagues
- Work on many different-sized projects, dealing with design through to completion
- Look after and produce drawings, specifications, and reports
- Review others' designs and ensure they are up to the required technical standards
- Be in attendance for site inspections, design meetings, and progress reviews
- Help junior team members by training and assisting them in developing
- Attend in-house team meetings, inputting relevant information and knowledge where required
- Ensure budgets are observed, ensuring any risks and resources are managed accordingly
About You
- At least 5-8 years of post-graduation experience in Structural engineering
- Qualified to MEng or above and be a Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership
- Have excellent knowledge of construction methods and UK codes
