The Role


As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing. You will provide guidance and support to care staff, contribute to care planning, and help maintain the highest standards of care throughout the service.


Key Responsibilities
⦁    Deliver high-quality care and support to residents.
⦁    Assist with the development and review of person-centred care plans.
⦁    Support and mentor Care and Support Workers within the team.
⦁    Conduct staff supervisions and contribute to performance appraisals.
⦁    Promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect for all residents.
⦁    Ensure care is delivered in line with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
⦁    Work collaboratively with management and wider healthcare professionals.


Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience


⦁    Previous experience in a Senior Care Worker or Senior Support Worker role.
⦁    Strong leadership and communication skills.
⦁    Excellent organisational abilities with the capacity to prioritise workloads effectively.
⦁    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
⦁    A caring, empathetic, and compassionate approach.


Qualifications
⦁    NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or currently working towards achieving this qualification.
