Senior Residential Child Care Worker – Sway, Lymington
Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are seeking dedicated Senior Residential Child Care Workers to join a reputable organisation in Sway, Fordingbridge, and Verwood. This role offers the chance to work in a small, family-like environment supporting children who have experienced significant trauma, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as PACE and DDP.
Location: Sway, Lymington
Salary: £28,000-£30,000 plus potential sleep-in bonuses up to £8,580 annually

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored emotional and practical care to children in your home
- Act as a positive role model and foster trusting, therapeutic relationships
- Support school runs, extracurricular activities, and family contact arrangements
- Facilitate recreational and educational activities to promote personal growth
- Manage household duties such as cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a welcoming environment
- Complete daily records, logs, and health and safety checks
- Collaborate with social workers, educators, and other professionals
- Work on a shift pattern that includes sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays (sleep-in hours: 22:30 to 07:30)
What We Are Looking For:

Essential Requirements:
- Full, clean UK driving licence (home cars are provided for transport)
- Compassionate, patient, and resilient nature
- Flexibility and reliability to work shifts including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain accurate records
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
- Over 21 years of age
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, Health and Social Care or equivalent (or willing to complete funded diploma if without)
- Experience working with children with complex emotional and behavioural needs is desirable
- Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches such as PACE and DDP is advantageous
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus but not essential
