Senior Support Worker – Brecon
Are you an experienced Support Worker with a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care, seeking a leadership role within the residential care sector? We are looking for dedicated professionals to join a well-established team in Brecon, supporting individuals with autism and complex needs to live fulfilling and independent lives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting others, taking on additional responsibilities, and developing leadership skills. As a Senior Support Worker in Brecon, you will lead shifts, oversee daily activities, and provide person-centred support that promotes independence and wellbeing for those in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading shifts and allocating duties
- Overseeing medication administration and records
- Reviewing risk assessments and support plans with direction to staff
- Supporting individuals with daily routines, personal care, meal preparation, and household activities in Brecon
- Encouraging participation in social, educational, and recreational activities
- Mentoring and supervising less experienced team members
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring high standards of care
- Collaborating with families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes
Candidate Requirements:
- Recognised Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs
- Passion for helping people achieve their goals
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to develop
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and occasional nights
- Full UK driving licence
