As a Senior Support Worker with us, you'll help the people we support gain greater independence in their daily lives while assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. Your responsibilities may include allocating shifts, coordinating training, inducting new colleagues, supporting staff supervisions, ordering medication, and ensuring the people we support are assisted to manage their finances.

While you'll take on additional leadership responsibilities, you'll never lose sight of why you chose this career. Our Senior Support Workers remain at the heart of delivering high-quality, person-centred support every day. In the role, you will provide support with a range of daily living activities, including moving and handling, personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, household tasks, attending medical appointments, key worker sessions, leisure activities, and participation in house and team meetings. A significant aspect of the role involves providing both one-to-one and two-to-one support during mealtimes and while accessing the local community.

You will be comfortable supporting adults who may display verbal or physical behaviours that challenge and able to adapt your communication approach to meet individual needs, including supporting people who are non-verbal.

We're interested in Senior Support Workers who have both the right experience and the right values. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, hold a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, and have experience supporting individuals with enhanced support needs. You will also play an active role in maintaining health and safety within the home. Sleep-in shifts are required as part of this role, and a full UK manual driving licence is highly desirable.
